Welcome to the Scarborough and District Canoe Club website.

The Scarborough and District Canoe Club has a name as idiosyncratic as many of its members with brevity of title that would shame a politician. Scarborough and District Canoe Club is in fact a kayaking and canoe club and is the best club of its type in the known universe. This is entirely contrary to the fatuous and erroneous statements made by the Haverfordwest Kayaking Club. However as kayakers and canoeists are (relatively) friendly we will forgive them their mistake like the big hearted paddlers we are.

On the following pages you will find information on the clubs activities, definitions of terms and some (not comprehensive) information on equipment and safety.

Please note that kayaking and canoeing can be dangerous sports. It is your responsibility to ensure your own safety. We strongly suggest you undertake a paddling course before you buy equipment or go on the water.
