Kayakers are very welcome to come on the paddles.

Please note that the above paddles are organised by a group of canoeists, some of whom are not members of Scarborough and District Canoe Club. The paddles are not training sessions and are not suitable for complete beginners. SDCC members can hire club equipment for the trips, but go on the paddles at their own risk

Paddles at Wykeham Lakes

Paddles at Wykeham Lakes will take place between 6pm and 8pm on the following dates

· Tuesday 1st July
· Tuesday 15th July
· Tuesday 23rd September

Further Tuesday evening paddling sessions either in the sea or at Howsham depending on conditions will take place on the following dates

· Tuesday 6th May
· Tuesday 17th June
· Tuesday 29th July
· Tuesday 23rd September

Thursday Informal Paddles

Informal surf sessions will be held every Thursday from 6pm to 8pm meeting at the Oasis Café slipway in North Bay. Please contact Martin Stirling to confirm that they are going ahead.

Sunday Informal Paddles

Informal paddling sessions will be held every Sunday. Due to a change in circumstance the times will be variable. Please check with Martin Stirling. Meet at the Oasis Café slipway in North Bay.

Please note: The informal surf sessions on Thursdays and Sundays may include non-members and are not SDCC training sessions for beginners so some experience is necessary and own equipment is required. You paddle at your own risk. The Tuesday evening sessions at Wykeham Lakes and South Bay are instructor led and club equipment may be hired. This is normally arranged on the spot at Wykeham Lakes or you can contact Martin Stirling (Equipment Officer). All available instructors please also liaise with Jason Raper (01723 374414).

Club Night Sessions at Bramcote School Pool - Autumn 2008

These will be from 6.30pm to 8.30pm with the gate manned between 6.20pm and 6.35pm and again between 7.25pm and 7.35pm for access. Please remember strictly NO personal gear allowed in the pool apart from clothing. Fees payable on arrival.

Dates: Thursdays November 13th, 20th and 27th, January 15th, 22nd and 29th, February 12th, 19th and 26th.
